Hyderabad, India – (19 August 2025) – Magellanic Cloud Ltd., through its wholly owned subsidiary Provigil Surveillance Limited, has received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) for the provision of Video Surveillance Systems (VSS) across 441 D & E category stations, along with augmentation at 43 major stations (Categories A1, A, and B) of Southern Railway.
Valued at approximately ₹85 crore, this project is designed to enhance passenger safety while delivering a cyber-secure, AI-enabled surveillance infrastructure across the railway network.
This follows the company’s earlier project wins, including a ₹32 crore LoA from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for AI-based Video Surveillance Systems on highways, and a ₹2.25 crore LoA from South Central Railway. Together, these back-to-back wins take Magellanic Cloud’s recent surveillance project achievements to nearly ₹120 crore, solidifying its leadership in building safe and smart infrastructure.
Aligned with RDSO specifications and stringent cybersecurity compliance, this AI-powered surveillance initiative represents a significant leap forward in passenger confidence, operational safety, and reliability. By integrating next-generation analytics, facial recognition, and centralized video management, Southern Railway is setting new benchmarks for smart railway operations.
