Magellanic Cloud’s Subsidiary Provigil Secures ₹3.20 Crore CCTV Surveillance Contract from Southern Railway (Madurai Division)

Magellanic Cloud Limited is pleased to announce that its wholly owned subsidiary, Provigil Surveillance Limited, has received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from Southern Railway – Madurai (MDU) Division. The contract, valued at ₹3.20 crore (Rupees Three Crores Twenty Lakhs only), involves the provision and deployment of CCTV cameras at non-interlocked level crossing (LC) gates across the MDU Division. The project aims to significantly enhance passenger security through installation of a cyber-secure, AI-enabled surveillance infrastructure across the railway network.
Strengthening Infrastructure Security at Railway Crossings
Under the contract, Provigil will supply, install, test, and commission high-definition CCTV cameras at identified LC gates. The initiative is part of a broader commitment to bolster infrastructure safety, improve surveillance coverage, and enable real-time monitoring at critical railway locations.
A Growing Legacy of Large-Scale Surveillance Wins
This latest contract adds to a growing portfolio of major surveillance orders secured by the company and its subsidiary. Previously, Provigil received multiple Letters of Acceptance from railway authorities amounting to approximately ₹100 crore, and another significant contract from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) worth ₹32 crore, for deployment of AI-enabled video surveillance systems across railway corridors and national highways. These projects include advanced video analytics capabilities such as vehicle counting and classification, underlining Provigil’s technical depth and domain competence.
