Magellanic Cloud Subsidiary Secures ₹3.44 Crore AI-Led Railway E-Surveillance Project from South Eastern Railway

Hyderabad, May 6, 2026: Magellanic Cloud Limited announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Provigil Surveillance Limited, has received a Letter of Acceptance (LOA) from South Eastern Railway, Kharagpur Division, for a project valued at approximately ₹3.44 Crore.
The project involves the deployment of CCTV e-surveillance systems at Goods Sheds under the Kharagpur Division, along with modernization and upgradation of e-surveillance and networking infrastructure. The scope includes supply, installation, commissioning, integration of CCTV systems, and establishment of centralized monitoring capabilities.
The development comes at a time when railway infrastructure across the world is rapidly transitioning from passive monitoring environments to intelligent, AI-enabled operational ecosystems. With increasing movement of cargo, assets, personnel, and public traffic, modern railway systems require surveillance infrastructure that can move beyond simple video recording.
AI-based e-surveillance systems are increasingly becoming a critical layer of modern railway infrastructure. Unlike traditional surveillance setups that rely heavily on manual monitoring, AI-enabled systems can analyze live video feeds in real time to detect unauthorized movement, monitor restricted zones, identify operational bottlenecks, and generate automated alerts for faster response.
In railway and logistics environments, where large operational zones must be monitored continuously, intelligent e-surveillance can significantly improve situational awareness while reducing response delays and manual dependencies. This order marks a strategic expansion of Provigil’s surveillance capabilities, while continuing to leverage its expertise in high-reliability deployments.
